Artist Residencies
La Boule d'Or has a residency program dedicated to supporting artists across various disciplines through creation and research periods ranging from two weeks to one month. We value the uniqueness of each project and encourage artists to apply by sending us an email with a brief project description, their bio/CV, and a link to their portfolio or website.
Given the volume of applications we receive and our limited staff, we ask for your patience in awaiting a response. This opportunity is designed to facilitate meaningful artistic development in a focused setting.

Groups and Individuals
A new creative home in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
La Boule d’Or hotel has 11 cozy rooms paired with open access artist studios, a peacefully productive quarry garden, organic wine bar, 12th century chapel and a community of fellow artists.
With you, we are creating a community of creatives to share ideas and good times with around the fire, meal, or a drink at in our quarry garden bar.
11 Bedrooms & A Shared Kitchen
11 bedrooms with writing desks, overlooking either the quarry garden or courtyard. The fully equipped shared kitchen is yours to prepare any meal for you or your new friends also staying here. We’ve built this space with mind for people to comfortably stay for however long you need to complete your project. FYI Each bedroom also lovingly features no TV.

Explore our small countryside town, borrow one of our free bikes, cycle along l’Yonne,
The Studio Spaces
Space for painting, woodworking, metal work… and coming later a ceramics kiln, photography dark room, and more.
Group Bookings (Full Takeover)
For associations, organizations, groups of artists, that need full run of the space. Get in touch to find out more.
Individual Residency
Need time to focus on your personal project? book a room for however long you need to either find the spark to start or have the time to finish. Your room comes with access to all the studio spaces, garden, and a community of fellow artists working on their projects.
Event Spaces
Combined with the working spaces, you can host a wide selection of events here. Whether it’s within the chapel walls, or the rock walls of our quarry garden, we can host 100+ people for your private or public events.
